Rental Information

BEFORE you come to your rental home, please review our Packing List!
You will need to bring your own bedsheets, linens and other personal items.

CHECK-IN TIME

Check-in time is any time after 12:00 Noon on the scheduled day of your arrival.

CHECK-OUT TIME

Check-out time is 11:00 AM the scheduled day of departure. Some exceptions may apply, so if you have any problems leaving the premises on time, please call us at 951-659-5349.

MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENT

During non-holiday times, rentals are a minimum of two (2) nights. All of our cabins are quoted on a two day rate. Three (3) day holidays have a four night minimum. Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving require extended minimum stays. If you have questions, please contact us at 951-659-5349

RENTAL FEES

Please settle any balance due when you check in. In the event of a late arrival, please make arrangements to settle your balance the next morining. We accept Cash, Checks, Visa, and Master Card. Please note: CURRENT LAW REQUIRES A 10% BED TAX TO BE LEVIED ON ALL CABINS.

SECURITY DEPOSITS

The security deposit is NOT part of the rental rate. The house will be checked after your departure and your deposit will be refunded to you less any excess cleaning charges, trash removal, pet stain removal, or damage.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel two weeks prior to your arrival you will receive a full refund. Otherwise any deposits will be forfeited.

TELEPHONE CHARGES

All off-hill telephone calls are billed as long-distance. If you use an off-hill Internet service provider, long distance charges can accrue. Some bills have reached $300. Please contract with one of the on-hill service providers for your stay. The local providers charge less than $20 per month to make your access affordable. If long-distance charges appear on your rental home telephone bill, we will charge this amount plus a 10% service fee to your credit card.

CELLULAR TELEPHONE SERVICE

The Idyllwild area is now covered by AT&T Wireless (Analog and Digital) and Verizon Wireless (Digital). Other cellular service providers most likely will not be reachable from this area.

SEASONAL INFORMATION

Idyllwild is in the mountains. It tends to snow in the mountains in the winter season. During winter conditions please bring tire chains and a snow shovel since road conditions may warrant their use. Some of our rental properties will require you to be prepared to park your vehicle on the main street and walk to the cabin in the event of a heavy snow. If you would like to have your driveway to be plowed while you are here, please let us know. Plowing of your private drive is available at an additional charge.

Please note: Some of our cabins are inaccessible in severe weather. We are not responsible for icy or snowy conditions on the driveway or steps. If you want your drive or walkway plowed or shoveled, or if you would like firewood delivered, plese contact us on 951-659-5349.

Housekeeping Information

Your rental cabin will be cleaned prior to your arrival. Remember that in the mountains cobwebs, dust and other "creepy crawlys" do tend to make their presence known so be prepared to encounter and endure some inconveniences. Your cabin will have some dinnerware available to you. Please clean your dishes prior to departure.

We appreciate you leaving the cabin as you found it. This means doing the appropriate cleaning before you leave - vacuum floors, do dishes take the trash with you. Supplies are provided in the cabin. Failing to clean of disposing of your trash could mean an added charge to your credit card.

General Information

ARRIVAL INFORMATION

To make your arrival more convenient, we will make sure to turn on the water heater, and a few lights. Your house key and map information will be available at our offices listed above. If you need to arrive after business hours, please call us earlier in the day on 951-659-5349.

WHAT TO PACK

Since this is a trip to a home away from home, you must remember to bring certain items. A short list of what we feel is a good collection of packables is available.

DEPARTURE INFORMATION

Upon your departure, please make sure you turn down the house heat to its lowest setting and turn off all household lights. In the event you have individual bathroom heaters, please make sure that they are turned off. DO NOT put hot ashes from the fireplace in a paper sack. DO NOT put hot ashes on the wooden decks since these practices represent a SEVERE fire hazard.

TELEPHONE PRIVELEDGES

Most of the cabins have telephones. However, it is a good idea to bring your own phone in the event the owner has locked up their phone. Any long distance charges billed to the rental home telephone number will be billed back to you. To help save you money, we encourage you to use your calling card to make any off-hill calls.

TRASH

We appreciate your leaving the cabin as you found it. We do ask that you pack your own trash bags. After you leave the cabin to return your key, please bring your trash to the office where we can dispose of it properly before the animals can get into it. There is a dump site in Idyllwild that accepts trash (it's free - sort of) and has a Great View!!!

RESTRICTIONS

Most cabins are NON-SMOKING and DO NOT ALLOW PETS. If you wish to bring your pet, please call and confirm that your cabin permits pets.

OTHER NOTES

PLEASE MAKE SURE you bring your own bed sheets, pillowcases, trash bags and paper products. Firewood is not provided but is readily available on the hill. If you need firewood, please contact us on 951-659-5349. We have a listing of vendors available. For other information you should review our recommended packing list.
